First Post! - Back to School Style

Hey guys! So this is my blog (obviously) and I just wanted to tell you a bit about myself before going into my post. My name is Hailey and I am 15 years old from Toronto, ON. I know I am a little young but age is just a number and that is not going to stop me from writing. Some of my interests include shopping, reading, snowboarding and travelling (even though I do not travel very often, I plan too when I get older). I am starting this blog as a way for my to put my ideas out there and just have fun. I love writing and I love fashion so I am hoping that this blog is my first step for growing up into working for a fashion magazine. So that was a little about me, lets go onto the important stuff!

My first post is going to be about back to school looks because school is just two weeks away! I am actually kind of excited to go back and see what everyone is wearing and all the new clothes my friends bought over the summer! Here is a list of some back to school looks for this year!

Okay, so here are some examples of nice boyfriend jeans that I found on Polyvore. Boyfriend jeans also come in many other colours besides blue, black and white like I showed here. They can also come in patterns. They are so cute and can make a perfect outfit for back to school. It is not that hard to style them, all you need is a basic tank, a flannel and some black booties and you have the perfect fall outfit.

Pastel jackets and blazers are very in this fall, the light colours brighten up a gloomy fall day. The pastel colours can be a statement piece in a nice outfit when the weather gets colder. I love the pastel blazers because they are casual enough to wear to school with a nice pair of jeans or a pretty skirt. These jackets can be a perfect touch to your back to school outfit.

Overalls are the perfect piece for an easy outfit, wether it is cold or hot out. All you need is a plain tight cropped t-shirt (if you have a dress code just wear a regular t-shirt) underneath and you have an amazing outfit for school. They are so easy to make a killer outfit and they come in so many different styles and colours. I love my overalls and I wear them all the time. 

4. 90s inspired athletic wear!

This trend is based off of 90s fashion. It is laid back loose and comfy sportswear but it can also be high fashion. It is mostly black and white clothes and it is a very cool look. But do not wear them together PLEASE! My favourite piece is the white Nike hightop trainers, they are like running shoes but they have a bit of a heel. These clothes are so cute!

5. 60s inspired shift dresses!

The shift dress is from the 60s but these dresses are modernized and extremely cute! They are so easy to make a nice outfit out of and they look good on everyone. All these dresses need is a cute pair of sandals and a statement jewellery piece and you have an adorable outfit!
